About The Club

The Fit 4 Life Club's mission is to influence the American public to eat healthier and become more physically active to reduce overweight and obesity rates along with the related chronic diseases. This will be done through Better Health & Aging guidance, support and solutions primarily with Nutrition and Fitness.

Motivation and Inspiration:

Our motivation is simple.  We want to  Make A Difference. To PAY IT FORWARD  using our passion for health and wellness.

How are you making a difference in the world? What mark are you going to make after your gone?

A.A. Milne, author of Winnie the Pooh, put it nicely:

"In the quiet hours, when we are alone and there is nobody to tell us what fine fellows we are, we come sometimes upon a moment in which we wonder, not how much money we are  earning, nor how famous we have become, but what good
we are doing."

So our purpose and drive: To make a difference in the lives of others!

Inspiration is all around.  Here are some that stand out.

"The Dash"  by Linda Ellis

It is a short poem but speaks volumes.  It tells of a eulogy and the dates on the tombstone.  But the focus isn't on the dates, it is on the dash between the dates.

"For that dash represents all the time
that she spent alive on earth and ...

"For it matters not how much we own,
the cars...the house...the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash."

Jon Blais  A teacher, triathlete a role-model. Jon was given a death sentence in the form of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis - ALS - more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, in May of 2005, at the age of 33.  Jon accepted his diagnosis and decided to do incredible things with it. He began waging a War on ALS from the beginning. This was his way of dealing with it; this is how he lived out his days... fighting for research and raising awareness

Jon fought a couragious battle against the deadly disease.  In two short years, Jon became a powerful voice for ALS, using the sport he loved to help promote awareness and fundraising to find a cure for this horrific disease. Jon passed away on May 27, 2007.  His spirit and the lessons he has taught us all live on.

The movie Pay It Forward.  Released in 2000, Pay It Forward is a dramatic film based on the novel of the same name by Catherine Ryan Hyde.

Twelve-year-old Trevor McKinney accepts his social studies teacher’s challenge: come up with a plan to change the world. His idea is simple: Do a good deed for three people and ask them to “pay it forward” to three others in need.

As Trevor says........

"When someone does you a big favor,
don't pay it back...Pay It Forward."

So how are you spending your "Dash" and how will you "Pay It Forward"?

Fit 4 Life helps people create healthy, active and happy lifestyles primarily through weight management, healthy eating, nutrition, cooking and fitness.

They set a goal...we coach them to achieve it.

Although the program takes a whole-person approach for personal wellbeing, key components are:
